Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand
We have established an annual Classroom Grant program intended to fund specific classroom projects throughout Turlock Unified School District with grants of up to $1000. Above are our 2013-2014 Grant recipients; we distributed over $11,000 directly into the classrooms for projects ranging from 3-D Printers to therapeutic swings for special needs children. The grant application process starts at the beginning of the school year with the funds being distributed in December of the same school year. These funds are meant to provide various opportunities inside the classroom and are available to every classroom and every certificated staff member in the district. Our goal is to grow this to an annual $25,000 program. The grant applications are then evaluated by a subcommittee with the final grants authorized by the full TEF Board of Directors.

Why Classroom Grants
Our mission is to Enhance and Enrich the Educational Experience of our TUSD students. These grants are intended to provide those opportunities directly in the classroom to fund projects that may be too large for boosters or PTA's to support and difficult to fund through the site's general fund. We evaluate each application carefully to ensure the program or project will be effective, it is likely to succeed, and it supports TEF and TUSD's missions.
